Textile waste recycling

Textile waste is often not recycled. However, these materials may assume new life. Some examples of textiles (deriving from natural or synthetic fibres) arriving at the end of their life cycle are: rugs and carpet, scouring residues, spinning, weaving, finishing and packaging. This also includes waste, headers, fragments, trimmings, all often considered by-products. Textile waste is shredded and used in the mix of materials to produce WDF and RDF. Inside the system, the textile waste is crushed then shredded to transform it into a material suitable for recycling and reuse.
